Who this course is for
This seminar is suitable for all family and friends who are supporting an adoptive family (ages 18+). No previous knowledge required. An open and curious mind would be an advantage – all questions welcome!
- What experiences do children have that lead them to be placed out of their birth families for adoption?
- What are some of the consequences of these experiences? This is what we know as developmental trauma
- What are adoptive parents advised to do differently than ‘typical’ parenting and why?
- What can we, as family and friends, do to help?
- What can we read/watch/do if we want to know more?
