I am an Integrative Psychotherapist MBACP(Acred), with over 25 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, I offer supervision to therapists and professionals from various modalities, as well as trainees who are just starting their careers.
My special interest lies in the area of developmental and complex trauma. In addition to working with complex/developmental trauma I have a working background in bereavement, domestic abuse and in schools. I have completed the EMDR Europe standard training and Child and Adolescent EMDR Training. DDP is also an interest of mine having completed both levels of this training. I take an integrative approach to supervision, offering a comprehensive perspective that takes into account various therapeutic modalities. Essentially my approach to supervision is rooted in trauma-informed care.
I am able to provide reflective practice and consultations to other professionals, including social workers and school staff. By collaborating with these professionals, I aim to enhance their work with complex cases.
I hope to provide a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where your experiences, perspectives, and challenges are honoured. I prioritise self-care, well-being, and reflection, recognising the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and addressing personal triggers and stressors. Supervision, to me, is a relational process. It is a two-way relationship where both voices are heard and valued. I bring my own unique perspective as an adoptive parent, allowing me to understand and empathize with various family dynamics.
