In my role as Lead Trainer, I really value taking time to explore with teams what their training needs genuinely are, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. I enjoy working collaboratively with practitioners and services to understand the relational, emotional, and systemic challenges they are facing, and using this understanding to develop bespoke training that feels meaningful, relevant, and directly applicable to their work.
As a psychotherapist, I also “walk the walk” every day and understand first-hand the emotional complexity, pressure, and relational demands that professionals can experience within helping roles. This allows me to bring both clinical insight and genuine empathy into my training, grounding theory in the realities of practice rather than presenting it from a purely academic perspective.
I see a core part of my training role as helping to translate complex emotional and developmental concepts into accessible learning for all, and to provide practical frameworks that build confidence, reflection, and shared understanding. I am deeply committed to creating learning environments where people feel emotionally safe enough to think clearly, reflect honestly, and remain curious.
This work matters to me because I care deeply about supporting professionals to feel confident, connected, and emotionally equipped in the work they do with the children, young people, and families they support, whilst also maintaining their own wellbeing. My core training values are compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I bring warmth, steadiness, humour, and strong relational skills that help both individual and teams feel cohesive, supported, and able to work well together even in demanding environments.
