Jon is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade’s experience of working with people across the lifespan, in a range of inpatient and community settings; and specialising in working in adult mental health and forensic settings. Jon has experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Schema-Focussed Therapy (SFT), but clinically works predominantly as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist and EMDR practitioner.

Jon has extensive experience working with clients with interpersonal difficulties, common mood and anxiety disorders, and has a special interest in working with complex and attachment trauma, which would often include people who may have attracted a diagnosis of personality disorder, complex PTSD or dissociative disorders.

As a clinical supervisor, Jon has worked with psychologists, psychological therapists, and mental health practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds. He aims to provide and safe and supportive space within which to consider the implications of therapeutic work, extend and refine clinical formulations and treatment plans, and to develop relevant clinical skills and techniques.

As a consultant, Jon has extensive experience supporting teams within mental health and criminal justice settings: designing and delivering training, developing collaborative clinical formulations, and providing reflective practice sessions for staff to consider the impact of their work and develop novel solutions to difficult problems. He also has relevant leadership and service development experience, having worked as a Clinical Lead within mental health and forensic settings.
