Helena has had a special interest in working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions since 2016, having worked in special schools and outreach services dedicated to this area. She also has a wealth of experience working with adopted and care experienced young people, particularly those affected by trauma.

Helena is comfortable working in the nuanced (and often complex) overlap between conditions, including ASD, FASD and developmental trauma. She particularly enjoys working alongside families and carers to help them to best support their young person. She is also experienced at working with professional systems around those young people to help them understand and support their needs.

Helena has a strong belief in every young person having potential and helping them to achieve that. She feels inspired by stories and evidence of youngsters overcoming their challenges and discovering new strengths.
