Hi, My name is Zameer. I am a warm and approachable Clinical Psychologist, and I believe creating a strong therapeutic relationship, whilst using evidence based therapies, is essential to any therapy space. I specialise in working with children, young people and their families, with over nine years ’experience of working in mental health services within the NHS and in the private sector.

I bring a range of experience, having worked with children and their families across a range of settings. These include: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), National Specialist child and adult services, and specialist adoption and fostering teams. I have worked therapeutically with both individuals and groups, provided specialist consultations and training, and provided supervision to Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

I am experienced in working with young people and adults presenting with a wide variety of difficulties, including low mood, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anger, and neurodiversity. I have also worked with parents and carers, providing a systemic approach to understand children and adolescents.

I have a particular interest in using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help rebuild people’s lives following trauma & attachment issues, low mood, and anxiety. However, I also offer a range of other approaches in collaboration with the client, which includes Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other creative approaches.

I am also neuro-affirming, and hold an interest in neurodiversity. I have experience in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and cognitive assessments, as well as making sense of these as part of psychological therapy.
