I have a specialist interest in attachment, trauma, neurodiversity, and nervous system regulation. My practice is fundamentally trauma-aware, neuro-affirming, and relationship-focused.
I qualified as a Systemic Psychotherapist through the Institute of Family Therapy and completed systemic training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. My clinical experience includes placements within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and working with couples and families navigating complex emotional, relational, and neurodevelopmental challenges, including:
- Supporting adoptive families, foster caring and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) arrangements.
- Attachment difficulties and developmental trauma
- Systemic patterns and nervous system dysregulation
- Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
- Bereavement
- Self-harm
My therapeutic approach is further enriched by specialised training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP Level 1 and 2), Theraplay (Level 1), and Forest School Leadership.
Before transitioning into therapy, I trained and practised as a teacher. This background uniquely positions me to collaborate effectively with schools, care networks, and multi-agency support services to support the whole system surrounding a child or individual.
I bring systemic insight from a variety of specialist roles, including:
- Attachment Lead Teacher
- Adoption and Looked After Children (LAC) Specialist
- Therapeutic Intervention Teacher
- Foster Carer
Outside of my clinical work, I love spending time outdoors, travelling to Spain, and enjoying good food, music and company. In both my life and my practice, I am committed to embracing the messiness and imperfect wonder of relationships, families and love.
