Alison is committed to supporting clients to understand themselves in order to bring about therapeutic change in a safe, non judgemental space. She has a particular interest in anxiety problems (including OCD, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Specific Phobias and Panic Attacks) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Alison is also very experienced in working with adults who have been through events such as sexual assault.
Alison has undertaken extensive professional development and additional specialist training since her core training in 2001, with a particular passion for offering various therapeutic approaches (such as cognitive behavioural therapy, (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)), in creative and dynamic ways. Alison’s clients say that she is warm, kind, thoughtful and works in a very relational and authentic way.
In her spare time, Alison can be found enjoying walks with her dog, attending as many live music events as possible, and engaging in her passion for food!
Alison is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (membership number 081648); a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (membership number PYL17963); and a member of the BABCP. She is also a BABCP supervisor of accredited CBT therapists.
