Previously, Alix worked within an attachment-focused CAMHS team, as a School Project Manager for Place2Be and in a Children’s Residential Home. She set up a long-term therapy service for the charity RASASC for young people aged 13 – 16 years old who have been raped or sexually abused. Alix has worked directly with Social Care teams undertaking child and family assessments for court, prepared court reports and been an Expert Witness for the family court.
Alix is a huge advocate for child and adolescent therapy and the provision of best practice to those we are privileged to work with – Alix is a tutor and trainer at various adult therapy and child therapy training organisations in London and is a qualified Clinical Supervisor to counsellors and therapists working with children and young people. Alix’s personal and professional values are embodied in her clinical practice – tenacity, humility, integrity, creativity, playfulness, curiosity, robustness, compassion and holding onto hope.
