A REFRAMING OF THE SUPERVISORY SPACE:
Supervision. Play. Arts
A soothing and rejuvenating day held in a safe space where participants can be creative, encouraging the unconscious and unprocessed to become conscious and present. This day aims to be formative, normative and restorative, framed with talking and thinking yet immersed in the inspirational and healing aspects of play, creativity and movement. You will leave feeling refreshed, energised and ready to return to work with a re-affirmed sense of self.
Who this course is for
This workshop is for professionals working with all aspects of mental health – both formally and informally. Each visit to the SPA explores the ‘self’ in relation to the work, making each visit to the SPA, a unique experience. Lunch is provided, please advise us of any allergies in advance.
- The experience of the group will aim to normalise the day to day experiences and difficulties within the caring professions.
- Using creative forms of exploration and expression will encourage new formulations for ways of accessing thoughts and feelings in current client work.
- Creative forms will aim to refresh the self and revitalize by delivering new ways of processing thinking, feeling and sensation in the complicated work we do as professionals.
About the trainer
Roy Fears work at Beacon House as a Dramatherapist. He is also a clinical supervisor championing clinical supervision for non clinicians; help for the helper and care for the carer. Roy works with young people and adults alike and is passionate regarding the understanding and repair of trauma in all its forms.

Courses are refundable up to 30 days prior to the date of the course. Any cancellation with less than 30 days notice are NON-REFUNDABLE. You may send a substitute delegate providing s/he meets the course criteria. We reserve the right to cancel the course date, in this case we will notify you by email as early as possible, and advise you of an alternative date or provide you with a full refund. In the event of a course cancellation under 7 days’ notice, a new course date or refund will be organised for you. Under no circumstances are Beacon House are liable for any travel expenses, childcare, potential loss of income or any associated costs.
