Emotional Aspects of Teaching and Learning
Trainers: Kate Levy and Jo Charlton, Specialist Educational Psychologists in trauma and attachment
This training course aims to develop confidence and greater understanding in school teams about what is typical and atypical in children’s social and emotional development. The trainers map this knowledge onto what can be expected within the classroom context.
The course enables participants to identify when social and emotional development is delayed and explores barriers to learning. A range of creative and resourceful ideas and strategies are shared, with an emphasis on the potential for relationships between the pupil and school staff to build resilience and improve learning.
